Collector's Item -----------------------------
This Framed, Rare, Vocal and Instrumental Collectible Record Was Pressed During The 1960's By Minister Louis X And Recorded On The SALAAM Label
"The song 'I Believe' was origially created by Jane Froman while preparing a television show in 1952 and happened to see a letter from a serviceman in Korea. She and her team of writers, particularly Ervin Drake who later recalled the incident, created 'I Believe' as their reply to the serviceman and to everyone seeking a way to put honest basic faith into words. This was a "song that would give the average person hope," Drake said. Miss Froman's performance on the show "USA Canteen" was a great success, and the following year Frankie Laine's recording sold a million copies. As a result, he used the music practically as a theme song. Hit Parade analysts named 'I Believe' the most successful song of 1953, and it won the Christophers' award as the finest inspirational tune of the year."
When you hear Minister Farrakhan sing this song, you will experience one of the most powerful surges of spiritual energy that you could imagine. Minister Farrakhan puts His powerful spirit and gifts into the core of this musical arrangement.

Bro Wali's dedication propelled him to the captaincy of the Fruit of Islam (F.O.I.) in Washington before his assignment in Chicago. "THE END OF THE NIGHTSTICK" Police Brutality featuring Chicago Police Commander Jon Burge <A DVD Presentation of COMMUNITY TV NETWORK>
This startling expose unravels a history of abuse of suspects by the Chicago police. "The End of the Nightstick" probes the case of an accused cop killer in Chicago who was tortured into confessing by the police and how community pressure eventually led to an officer's dismissal; graphic photos of torture victims.
For more than a decade, the press and authorities turned a blind eye to allegations of torture — including the use of electric shocks — until persistent grass roots organizations exerted enough pressure to prompt an official investigation, and eventually the dismissal of a ranking police commander. As victims speak out, THE END OF THE NIGHTSTICK investigates charges of institutional racism, violence and cover-up. It also tells the story of a resistance movement, as local activist groups, including the Task Force to Confront Police Violence, refuse to let testimonies of police violence remain buried.
"A disturbing exploration of institutionalized racism. It makes one wonder how much we would have heard of Rodney King if a video camera had not been there to capture his beating."—People Magazine
"It makes you think: If electrical shocks are condoned for the sleaze-balls, what happens to you on that one cold, rainy night when you find yourself in the wrong place dressed the wrong way?"—Robert Goldber, Wall Street Journal
"NIGHTSTICK casts an awfully dark cloud over a police department and mayor who defended Burge, contending to the end that he'd done nothing wrong."—Chicago Tribune
"The point of view that emerges is that civil rights organizations must stay vigilant about police brutality because public officials are often willing to protect bad cops until they become a political liability."—Dallas Morning News
44 minutes / color Release Date: 1995 Copyright Date: 1993
